Dr.
Natalija Ilic

Dr. Ilic studied Microbiology and Immunology at the University of Saskatchewan and obtained a B.Sc. with High Honours in 2009. During her studies, she did research on antimicrobial resistance, molecular biology and genetics. After graduating, she studied melanoma and then focused on inflammatory responses in cystic fibrosis. 

Dr. Ilic then attended the University of Waterloo, receiving her Doctor of Optometry degree in 2014. In 2013, she trained at the John D. Dingell VA Medical Center, a veterans hospital, where there was a focus on ocular disease and therapeutics.  She has traveled with Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity (VOSH) to  provide eye care access to a community in Peru. 

Dr. Ilic was previously involved in the Canadian Association of Optometry Students as an Inter-professional Liaison and is a current member of the Canadian Association of Optometrists, the Ontario Association of Optometrists and the Ottawa Society of Optometrists. She is also a committee member of the College of Optometrists of Ontario.

Dr. Ilic provides comprehensive eye care in English as well as Bosnian, Croatian and Serbian.   

In 2005, Dr. Ilic was honored to be invited to a luncheon with Her Majesty the Queen and His Royal Highness the Duke of Edinburgh in Regina.  In her free time, she loves playing ultimate frisbee, ballroom dancing, yoga and hiking. Dr. Ilic has been awarded a brown-black belt in Martial Arts. She looks forward to caring for your eyes.
