For many years now, Eye Care For You has donated to Optometry Giving Sight, a charity geared towards transforming the lives of the over 600 million people who are blind or vision impaired simply because they do not have access to an eye exam and a pair of glasses. Our clinic's contributions last year have earned us the World Sight Day Challenge Silver award for the past 4 years (2019-2022). A big thanks to all of you, who also donated to the cause. Your donations will help train local eye care professionals and establish vision centers, so that quality eye care and affordable glasses can be provided in communities where these services do not currently exist. Optometry Giving Sight is currently helping to support 47 projects in 24 countries, including funding for 9 Schools or Colleges of Optometry around the world.
I Care & Share
Our office supports Optometry Giving Sight’s I Care & Share program. When you purchase a pair of glasses during the month of October, we donate a part of the sale so someone living in a poor community can receive an eye exam and a pair of glasses that could change their life. More than 600 million people around the world are blind or vision impaired because they don’t have access to basic eye care. The result is many children who cannot learn at school and many parents who cannot work to provide for their families. Sight can make the difference between a life of poverty and a life of opportunity. You can be part of improving their future!
